Class of 2014: Gabriella

Gaby and I have known each other for nearly five years. Ever since we have met, Gaby has been going full throttle at her teaching career. All the while, she has made a profound impact on many people by volunteering and pouring her time into children around her. Gaby is one of the most focused, selfless women I know. Not only do many young women look up to her, but many people of all ages respect and love her to the highest degree.

This May, many of us in her corner have had the opportunity to cheer her on as she accepts her teaching degree. If I were a parent at the school she will be teaching at, I would fight tooth and nail to have my daughter learn under this wonderful woman. Can you tell how proud I am? :)

I love you, Gaby - and words can't express how thrilled I am for this next chapter in your story!

Class of 2014: Elisabeth

When Elisabeth and I first met at the Exist in Photographs event, we quickly learned in the brief amount of time together that we have a LOT in common. She's a runner (and runs multiple half marathons a year), is a theater geek (and starred in Oklahoma!), and she loves ALL my favorite shows (The Office! Friends! Seinfeld!). She brought her beautiful mother Dede to the EIP event and we had a blast getting to know each other in January. It was a wonderful treat to get to spend time with her doing her photographs to celebrate her high school graduation. :)

Elisabeth, you are such a beautiful soul. And I absolutely can't wait to see what the future holds for you at Furman University in the fall.

Note to self: I need to join a water polo team so I can get arms like these. ;)

Laura West

It's about time I bring you up to date with some of my favorite shoots from the past couple of months. One of my favorites in particular, is the adventure me and Laura West went on in Downtown Fort Lauderdale for her graduation photos. See ya later, FAU! :)

One of my favorite things Laura has ever done for me - out of the KINDNESS OF HER HEART - is brought me a bar of chocolate from her workplace. She works at the Trump Hotel not too far from where I am and she knows I'm absolutely obsessed with the reality show "The Apprentice", featuring Donald Trump. She is one of the sweetest (and most talented) people I know, hands down. She's assisted with me at a wedding before and her support and talent was so valuable to me.

But today, I get to show her off. :)

[Um, ps... Her makeup, you guys. CAN YOU EVEN? Laura's good friend Cristen Smith did her hair and makeup. You need to hire this girl.]
